CD Review Pop: Simply Red - Picture Book (Collectors Edition)

Dal 3 novembre nei negozi 'Picture Book (Collectors Edition CD+DVD)', l'album d'esordio dei 'Simply Red' uscito originalmente nel 1985, qui in versione arricchita da bonus tracks, e un DVD live a Montreux.

Sarà pubblicato il prossimo 3 novembre 2008, 'Picture Book (Collectors Edition)', l'album d'esordio dei Simply Red. Il disco uscito nel 1985, conteneva il top singolo 'Money's too tight (to mention)', arrivato ai primi posti nella top 20 UK, e al numero 3 nella classifica italiana.

Picture Book, è stato un ottimo primo biglietto da visita della band britannica capitanata da Mick Hucknall, affermatasi nonostante l'imperversare a quel tempo della new wave. L'album di forti venature pop-soul, contiene altri top singoli, come: 'Come to my aid' e 'Holding back the years'.

Nella nuova versione Collectors, trovano posto (come bonus), cinque nuove alternate mix; Money's too tight (to mention) (the cutback mix), Come to my aid (survival mix), Holding back the years (12" extended mix), Jericho (12" extended mix), Open up the red box (12" extended mix), oltre al DVD, che contiene tutta la performance del 1986 a Montreux.
